Why think Christianity is wrong?
This is specifically about modern, mainstream Christianity. Some may not apply to certain fringe beliefs. In no particular order.
Different beliefs
Different Christians have significantly different beliefs. By significant, I mean differences worth going to war over. If Christianity was true, and its adherents were really in daily commune with God, they would all have the same understanding of their religion.
Contradictions in gospels
Contradictions indicate the stories are at best heavily embellished, and at worst simply made up. The women who saw the empty tomb told no one in one account, and ran to tell people in another account. The risen Jesus went on ahead to meet the disciples in Galilee in one account, and appeared to them in Jerusalem and told them to stay in the city in another. Plus, two wildly different nativity stories.
No trinity
The trinity is a fundamental tenet of Christianity, but is missing from the Bible except in the most obscure verses. Why did Jesus never make it clear? Because it was made up decades later.
Slavery
If God is perfectly good, why does Lev 25:44-46 say chattel slavery is allowed?
Flat earth
Numerous verses only really make sense in a flat-earth cosmology; Genesis 1 for a start. But also look at the verses about stars falling to earth.
Belief is cultural
The vast majority of theists adopt the religion their were raised in. Or put it another way, the primary reason a theist adopts their religion is childhood conditioning.
Still no return
Jesus predicted his return within the generation. Paul was confident it would be while he was still alive. For two thousand years Christians have been telling us any day now.... And still nothing.
Religion thrives on Jam Tomorrow!
Rich televangelists
It is not about faith, it is not about works, it is making as much money as you can. The very opposite of what Jesus said, but what does that matter? Religious leaders cherry-pick the parts of the gospels they want, and the sheeple lap it up.
Prayer does not work
The simple fact is, prayer does not work. How many Christians have prayed for peace on earth. Still waiting...
The evil of hell
Reject God, and he will torture you in hell for eternity. We can quibble over the definition of torture, but a guy who causes people to suffer for eternity just because they reject him is evil. Claiming he is perfectly God is just highlighting the contradiction.
It make no sense!
Why did Jesus have to die exactly? So God could pay a ransom to God? Why decided that? Which ever way you look at it, when you get right down to why it had to be that way it makes no sense. God is all-powerful, he could forgive all of us without bloodshed if he wanted to.
